PROJECTS
Hardware:
Hobby project: Impact Mobot
This is actually a robot operated through mobilephone. This uses the variation of the frequencies in DTMF tones to trigger the circuits. L293D motor driver helps in navigation. Remote control circuit is used for appliance control. Image processing is done using webcam and a working unit (pc loaded with matlab).
Hobby project: Line follower Robot
This robot uses ir transitter and receiver detecting the black and white surfaces depending upon the reflection principle. LM371 is used in prescaler cicuitry
Pre Final Year Annual project: Light follower Robot.
This robot uses LDR as the sensor. Depending on the light falling , a logic has been set and allow it to navigate. LM371 is used as amplifier.
Second year annual project: Displacement measurement using LVDT and PIC16F877
LVDT is a transducer that converts displacement into electric voltage. This project deals with displaying the distance using LCD module as the display device , the manipulation is carried out by PIC16F877 microcontroller.constant supply is provided by 7805
First year wiring project: Three Stage Fm Transmitter
The circuit is basically a radio frequency (RF) oscillator that operates around 100 MHz. Audio picked up and amplified by the microphone is fed into the audio amplifier stage built around the first transistor. Output from the collector is fed into the base of the second transistor where it modulates the resonant frequency of the tank circuit by varying the junction capacitance of the transistor. The final stage built around T3 amplifies the output RF signal
Software project: ‘Theft detection’ using Image processing in MATLAB.
A simple program to trigger a warning when any movable object is observed. It is written with the help of Image toolbox in Matlab. Here snaps are takenfor every 20 secs and two adjacent snaps are processed and compared pixel by pixel. Ifthere is any change in pixel value the alarm rings
